Evolutionary and Developmental Movement in CI
We trace the arc of movement from single-celled aquatic organisms to upright terrestrial humans, bridging our own path from floating in utero to adult locomotion.
We move from water to land through patterns such as cellular breathing, sponging, navel radiation, creeping, crawling, climbing and flying, drawing on living forms — starfish, frogs, lizards, gibbons — to widen our movement vocabulary.
Then we bring it into Contact Improvisation: how these patterns reshape our connection to gravity, space and our dance partners. A rich blend of somatics, physical research and CI.
